Bio

T. Kevin Feehan is the founder of Trading with TK, an online community for independent investors/traders. T.K. began his Wall Street career in 1968 as a clerk at NYSE specialist firm M.J. Meehan & Co. In 1976, he was made a Partner, became a Specialist, and obtained a Seat on the NYSE. There he rose to the level of Managing Partner. He made markets in numerous corporations including, but not limited to: RCA, NCR, CitiCorp, AHC, John Deere, and General Motors. In 1985, he joined Lawrence, O'Donnell & Co. as a partner and was a Specialist in LTD, MAS, HPQ, ACY, and CY. There he rose to level of Floor Official. In 2001, he formed a trading firm which bears his name. Capitalizing on the magic of the internet, he is able to share his trading expertise with the independent investors/traders. The wisdom of the Specialist is now at your disposal.

Purpose

To educate independent traders and investors and help them understand my method of trading, to identify key patterns and signals within the market, and to take that information and turn it into a profit. I aim to make learning to trade as easy as painting by numbers, and we all know anybody can do that.

Trading Philosophy

As a trader and student of the market for 35 years, I know that the bar formed on a daily chart is a summary of the collective thinking of every buyer and seller who has traded in that stock. It is displayed as a single bar with a high and low for the day. By stringing together a series of days, we see that the collective thinking takes on a specific pattern or shape. Within these shapes lies the message that defines the next move. Experience also tells me that stocks move from support to resistance and vice-versa. A "reasonable expectation" of a move is between 15%-20%. There are exceptions but most stocks move 20% before the risk/reward ratio changes. In the early stages of the formation, I identify the direction of the move that is about to take place. The earlier the move is identified, the greater the profit, plain and simple.
